Ingredients
- 1 cup canned pineapple juice
- 3/4 cup packed light brown sugar
- 1/3 cup rice vinegar
- 3 tablespoons ketchup
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce or tamari
- 1.5 tablespoons cornstarch dissolved in water cornstarch slurry: 1.5 tbsp cornstarch + 2 tbsp water
Method
- Place all ingredients except the cornstarch slurry in a small saucepan and bring to a boil.
- Stir in the cornstarch slurry and simmer for another minute until thickened, stirring constantly.
- Remove from heat and let cool completely before serving or storing.
