In a medium mixing bowl stir together sour cream, vinegar, dill, sugar, salt, pepper and garlic powder.
Add cucumbers and red onion; toss to coat.
Cover and refrigerate 2 or more hours.

We had this last year along with a giant plate of Schnitzel at a local restaurant. It provided such a lovely balance that I had to find a recipe. This one came from Lemon Tree Dwelling and I really only added pepper to this awesome recipe.
