Ingredients

  • 6 Jalapeno Peppers (halved lengthways and cleaned out)
  • 3/4 cup Cream Cheese
  • 1 Cup Milk
  • 1 Cup Flour
  • 1 Cup Panko
  • 1/2 Cup Italian Breadcrumbs
  • 1 Tsp Salt
  • Oil for frying

Method

  1. Mix the Breadcrumbs, Panko and salt (and any other seasonings you may want)
  2. Fill each jalapeno shell with ~1 Tablespoon of cream cheese
  3. Dunk the popper in milk, roll in flour and set aside on a wire rack to dry. About 10 minutes.
  4. Dunk the popper in the milk again, roll it in the panko mix, set aside to dry, about 10 minutes.
  5. Again, dunk the pepper back into the milk, back into the panko and set aside to dry once again.
  6. Fry in hot oil (350 degrees) for 5 minutes.
  7. Drain on paper towel and enjoy!
  8. BE CAREFUL: THEY ARE GOING TO BE SUPER HOT!!

Notes

  • I mixed some green onions into the cream cheese, but you can add whatever you want. Sharp cheddar, bacon, onions…anything!
