
Chewy Chocolate Chip Cookies
Ingredients
- 2 u0026 1/3 Cups of Flour
- 1 TSP Baking Soda
- 1 TSP Corn Starch
- 1 Cup Brown Sugar
- 1/2 Cup Granulated Sugar
- 1 u0026 1/2 Cup Chocolate Chips
- 3/4 Cup Melted Butter (Opaque, not boiling)
- 1 Egg at Room Temperature
- 1 Egg Yolk at Room Temperature
- 1 TBSP Vanilla Extract
Instructions
- Cream the Butter and Sugars in a bowl
- Whisk in the Eggs and Vanilla and mix till light and creamy
- Mix your dry ingredients
- Add wet to dry and mix well
- Scoop out 1/4 cup of dough and roll into a ball, place on parchment-lined sheet.
- Place in freezer for 15 minutes to firm up.
- Pre-heat the oven to 325
- Space out the cookies to have them 3u0022 apart
- Bake for 12-15 minutes, when edges look golden but center appears under-cooked
- Loot cool on a wire rack for 5 minutes minimum before diving in
